Codunot Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using our Discord bot and related app pages.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By adding Codunot to a Discord server, authorizing the Codunot app, or using Codunot features, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use Codunot.
Codunot provides AI chat, generation features, utility commands, and server configuration tools intended to help communities run smoother interactions.
2. Use of the Bot and App
You agree to use Codunot only for lawful purposes and in accordance with Discord platform rules.
- Do not use Codunot to violate law, regulation, or third-party rights.
- Do not use Codunot to spam, harass, abuse, or harm others.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access to Codunot systems, APIs, or infrastructure.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with service operation.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer protected implementation details.
- You must also comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines while using Codunot.
Enforcement actions may include warning, feature restrictions, suspension, permanent blacklist, or service removal from a server when abuse is confirmed.
3. Server Owner and Admin Responsibilities
If you add Codunot to a server, you are responsible for configuring permissions and usage policies appropriately for your community.
- Ensure only trusted roles can access sensitive bot commands.
- Review moderation and command behavior before production use.
- Use channel/server configuration features to limit bot scope where needed.
Codunot does not replace moderator judgment. Final enforcement decisions remain with server staff.
4. Feature Availability and Changes
Codunot features may be added, modified, rate-limited, deprecated, or removed at any time for reliability, safety, legal compliance, or product improvement reasons.
We do not guarantee permanent availability of any specific feature, command, model, integration, or output format.
5. Features and Access
Codunot provides a variety of AI-powered features that operate automatically or through explicit commands:
Automatic Features (No Commands Required)
- AI Chat & Conversation: Mention or reply to Codunot in servers, or message directly in DMs for AI responses. Remembers up to 60 messages per channel/DM, understands Discord reply chains, automatic fallback to secondary model, slang normalization, and humanized responses
- Web Search Integration: Automatically triggered via DuckDuckGo when queries need current/real-time information
- Image Analysis: Send images to get AI-powered descriptions and analysis (vote required)
- File Reading: Upload PDF, DOCX, or TXT files (max 8MB) for automatic content extraction and summaries (vote required)
- URL Content Extraction: Share links and Codunot will automatically fetch and summarize webpage content (free)
- Code Auto-Testing: When code is generated in conversation, it's automatically tested before being sent to you (free)
- Image Editing: Attach image + describe edits for AI-powered modifications (vote required)
- Image Merging: Attach 2+ images and say "merge", "combine", or "blend" to merge them (vote required)
Command-Based Features
- Mode Commands: /funmode, /seriousmode, /roastmode, /teachmerizz (online & IRL), /chessmode (all free)
- Creative Generation: /generate_image, /generate_video, and /generate_tts for text-to-speech with 300+ voices across 60+ languages (vote required)
- Music Playback: /play [song/URL] with audio filters (Normal, Bass Boost, Nightcore, Slowed, 8D, Treble, Lo-Fi, Vaporwave), /queue, /volume_up, /volume_down, /autoplay, /lyrics. Supports YouTube, SoundCloud, and Spotify via Lavalink (vote required)
- Developer Tools: /test_code, /browse [URL] (all free)
- Transcription: /transcribe for YouTube/Twitch/X/Kick videos max 30 mins (vote required)
- Age Estimation: /guessage @user (vote required)
- Fun Actions: /hug, /kiss, /kick, /slap, /wish_goodmorning, /bet, /meme (all free)
- Server Config: /configure server, /configure channels (server owner only, free)
- Natural Language Moderation: Mention the bot with plain English to perform moderation actions (e.g. "@Codunot timeout @user 10m for spamming")
- Chess: Full chess engine integration with legal move validation, SAN/UCI support, castling, promotions, en passant, resign detection, and AI hints during games
Free Features (No Vote Required)
The following features are completely free with no vote requirements or usage limits:
- AI chat and conversation (all modes)
- Web search integration (automatic)
- URL content extraction and browsing (/browse and automatic)
- Code testing and validation (/test_code and automatic)
- All fun action commands (/hug, /kiss, /kick, /slap, /wish_goodmorning, /bet, /meme)
- Mode switching commands
- Music queue viewing (/queue)
- Server configuration (/configure)
Vote-Required Features
The following premium features require a free vote on Top.gg (unlocks for 12 hours):
- Image generation (/generate_image)
- Image editing (attach + describe)
- Image merging (attach 2+ + say "merge")
- Image analysis (attach image + ask question)
- Video generation (/generate_video)
- Text-to-speech (/generate_tts with 300+ voices across 60+ languages)
- Music playback (/play with audio filters, YouTube/SoundCloud/Spotify)
- Video transcription (/transcribe for YouTube/Twitch/X/Kick)
- File reading (PDF, DOCX, TXT uploads)
- Age estimation (/guessage)
Vote unlock duration, feature availability, and access conditions may be updated as needed. Attempting to bypass vote checks or abuse unlock mechanisms is prohibited and may lead to access termination.
6. Premium Services and Billing Terms
Codunot may offer premium tiers, upgrades, or paid feature access. By purchasing premium access, you agree to provide accurate payment details and follow all applicable billing terms.

Premium abuse, fraudulent payment behavior, or chargeback abuse may result in immediate cancellation of access and account/server restrictions.
7. Refund Policy
Refund eligibility, where offered, is subject to purchase type, elapsed time, and abuse checks. Unless required by law, redeemed/consumed premium benefits may be non-refundable.
To request a refund review, contact support with your transaction details and Discord account context.
8. AI-Generated Content
Codunot generates responses using artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Users are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.
9. User Content Responsibility
Users are responsible for any files, text, code, images, or media they upload or submit to Codunot.
- Users must not upload illegal, malicious, or copyrighted content without proper authorization.
- Users must independently validate outputs before high-stakes use.
10. Code Execution Disclaimer
Codunot provides code testing as a convenience feature. The developer is not responsible for errors, data loss, or damages resulting from code generated or executed using the bot.
11. Service Availability
The service is provided "as-is" without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
12. Third-Party Services
Codunot relies on third-party model providers, infrastructure vendors, API processors, location/mapping services (such as Google Maps/Places API), web content sources, and code execution environments. Service quality may be affected by third-party limits, outages, or policy changes.
We are not liable for disruptions caused by third-party dependency failures outside our direct control.
When using location-based features, results are provided by third-party mapping services and should be independently verified for accuracy. Web browsing features extract publicly available content and may be subject to website restrictions or access limitations. Code execution occurs in sandboxed environments with security restrictions.
13. Enforcement and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Codunot for any user or server that violates these Terms or threatens service integrity.
Enforcement may include:
- Temporary or permanent command restrictions.
- Blacklist actions on user, guild, or integration level.
- Removal of bot access in specific communities.
In severe cases, reports may be escalated to Discord Trust & Safety or legal channels where appropriate.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
Codunot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including availability, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codunot and its owner are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including data loss, downtime, loss of profits, or business interruption.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, total liability is limited to amounts paid by you, if any, during the three (3) months before the claim event.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms take effect once posted on this page. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
